Bug - Ship Designer - Save as new part not working?

Pretty much as the title says, i've tried several times in several games to save a collection of parts as a new part, always with the same result: Only the first part in the collection is saved as a new part. Any subsequent attempts to save as a new part fail completely unless the game is restarted.
