Systray icons...how many?

I've been watching mine breed like the plague....currently 13, with another 4 that show in the tasks section [this is in LiteSTEP]...and not counting the browser, or file manager, etc...[open proggies as such].

So, is this 'excessive' or 'frugal'?...

How many are you 'getting away with'?

Thread's started dying already - but in my systray:

Volume, Battery use/Speed indicator, and NAV. That's it - save for when I'm using JetAudio - and minimize it to the tray. Oh - my task manager also sits down there a lot of the time, too.

As for Handles, Threads and Processes: 6451, 351 and 35.

I've only got 7 on my desktop (when I'm net connected and chatting on yahoo that is). I keep my desktop puter pretty minimal because the old gal is getting on in years.

My laptop has 9 methinks.

ZAP
Connections "monitor"
RealPopup (LAN msg thingy)
Samurize
WinAmp

I just upgraded to 1 GB not long ago. I was at the local Best Buy and they had 512 MB's for $49, so I had to get it. Great for gaming.

5 in the tray ..... but there are 8 'custom' popup launch menus running in the taskbar with 40 shortcuts divided among them.
Don't use a start menu as such, easier to group much used proggies into seperate taskbar pop ups....

One of the exchange group we were attached to in 1990 lived there, #300 something if I remember correctly.
