How can I take a picture of my desktop? I think you had to press the Print Screen button or something... could anyone help me out?!

Yes, press print screen, then use paint (or paint shop, or another viewer) go to Edit >Paste. Thats it!

Alt + Print screen will capture the window that is open and focused.

O', so that's why when I do alt-printscreen it just gives me what I was looking at and not the whole window. My bad. See what work does to you. Give you enough info to get you by.
