Fences does not appear to be loaded - You may need to reinstall Fences

Hi,

I have this issue on my new win7 pro 64bit laptop.

Had fences working perfectly on my previous laptop.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling - didn't work.

Tried uninstalling with revo and reinstalling - didn't work.

I have sent in a ticked regarding this issue, but if anyone has a clue/tip on how to get it to work I'd be a happy camper :-)

Okay.. Got it to work.

Used revo uninstaller on moderate. Removed everything - including the "Stardock" folder which had to be removed manually. (did NOT boot computer after removing/uninstalling)

I then copied the Stardock folder from the old computer to C:\Program Files (x86)\

Tried to start up Fences, but got an error message.

I then installed Fences from "my account/downloads".

Got a message that it was found a previous version of Fences and that it was highly recommended that I booted my computer.

I didn't boot the computer, but configured fences and set them up as I like and then I booted the computer.

 

Fences loaded on first boot. Haven't booted a second time yet - so I can't guarantee that it will work "permanently".
