Black and or Invisible folder backgrounds.

Hey guys. I have a problem with invisible/black folder backgrounds.
My system specs are:
Windows 8.1 latest Updates. 
Asus ROG G751JY
i7-4710HQ 
16GB RAM 
GTX 980M
256GB SSD
1TB HDD

When I select any theme and preview it, the folders look invisible. Have a look:http://i.imgur.com/2tvIWVp.png

I've also attached the screenshots, if that's preferable.

I have attempted to completely remove WindowBlinds 8. Restart my system, and do a clean install.
But that does not work.
I have had the latest version installed, (8.1) Then I tried the Beta. (8.11) neither work.

 

Note that I have had this issue with earlier versions of WindowBlinds as well. I can't seem to find a fix.

EDIT: My Start8 menu doesn't have any characters. http://prntscr.com/6w39n4 

This happened afcter running your purg file, and installing a new version.

EDIT2: Re-installing Start8 fixed it.
