Desktop X Uploading Problems

I have been trying to upload my first finished Desktop X Theme(Two more are in the lab)and i just get DNS and other errors on my Browser.I have no idea what to do.I also get this error after each try:'9 Subscript out of range'.It has been tested to work just fine and so it does.So the problem is not with the skin.My network settings are all OK and 've tested them.Is this a subscription problem?Do i have to be a subscriber at Wincustomize to upload anything above 1MB?Maybe its the size cause it's around 7MB due to the quality of the graphics.
It's a shame though cause i really dedicated allot of time and hard effort to make a good, multifunctional and working theme.Just to see what it includes:
a.Start Menu.
b.Command Line(Like Window's Address Bar).
c.Taskbar.
d.System Tray.
e.Menus with animated buttons.
f.150-170 Animated programs shortcuts.
g.Trays and small bars with common links or most used programs.
h.Analog and digital clocks.
i.Fully working Winamp with embedded equalizer.
j.Meters & Statistics with a full range of helpful plugins to make life easier.
k.A user-friendly GUI.
l.5 Matching wallpapers to go with it.

All in all these are its main features.
All comments, opinions, ideas or advice are most welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any responce.

I'm not sure about the size issue - but I would think of maybe lowering the number of wallpapers included with it - and maybe offering the animated shortcuts as an additional download?

I'm not sure why you are having upload problems. You have not hit the file size limit, but if you are on a slow connection then the chances of it timimg out are high.
Some things to consider:

Many people won't even consider downloading a theme of that size, so it would affect your download count. (many people are still on dial-up and 7Mb is a big file and would take ages to D/Load)

Are you using a .bmp as your wallpaper in the theme? DX can use .jpg images as the wallpaper these days and that makes for a much smaller file size.

If you MUST include extra wallpapers, try zipping them up WITHIN the .dxtheme file (which is a re-named zip file itself).

150-170 animated shortcuts??!! If these are your own work, you could upload them as seperate OBJECTS in the DX section, that way you could take them out of the theme, or at least reduce the amount that you include with it. If they are not your own work, you could include links to them in your theme description when you upload.

Is the winamp integrated into the theme, or did you mean you made a winamp controller? If it's a seperate winamp skin, you could upload that seperately too.

I hope this helps, if you need any further assistance, just [email protected] me, and if I can help, I will.

Well Boxxi, thanks for all the advice. Now to give a more deep look into it:
a.The Winamp Controller is embedded into the theme.
b.All the shortcuts are my work(They are not zoomer objects just have three states like Mouse Away,Over & Down).
c.The 5 walls take 500kb and are zipped as much as possible.
d.I use *.png* compressed files so that they do not take much place.

ANW i think i figured out why i can't upload it.It has to do with time-out(yes i'm still one of those cable users),only that it doesn't exactly time-out.I have a plugin in IE that counts the amount of data i'm trying to upload and if they exceed the download range and are doomed to time-out it just sends a DNS error to save up time.

Well all matters into consideration i have cracked the theme into smaller pieces(12 the number)and excluded the walls(Also noticed one wall that matches my theme almost perfectly is yours called BoxxiCelli-i'll probably add a link to it). That way maybe i'll be able to upload it in little pieces.

Thanks for all the help:)
Peace:)
