Hospital vs Farm

Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, June 29th and we will be returning on Monday, July 6th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

I believe the hospital only increases the growth rate, while the farm raises your population cap.
I am pretty sure I am right but if not somebody clue me in. I was building one of each on my planets but I have started building 2 farms instead and looking for growth rate improvement elsewhere.
A hospital gives growth bonuses, and gives +2 levels to adjacent farms, which amounts to +1 food for each farm
A farm gives a base amount of food, and gives +1 level to adjacent farms (+0.5 food per farm)
Hospitals are also populations buildings, so the farm gives 1 level to the hospital if adjacent, which is 5% growth.
Ok I see. I was just looking at the +1 and +2 Level of Population with up arrows. Thanks for the info. : )
