Windowblinds not painting Explorer?

Finally got Windowblinds installed and running properly (For some reason the 'Aero' setting in registry was set even though this install of Windows 8.1 has never had Windows 7 on it? Maybe a problem with the 8.11 build?). However, I'm noticing that Windows Explorer doesn't seem to be skinning correctly.

It doesn't matter what skin I use (This is the 'Hexagon' premium skin I finally bought after trying several others, figuring it was newly updated and would be fully compatible.) I've also tried reinstalling Windowblinds, and this was installed from a download link, not the ODM.

Is this just a limitation of windows 8? Rather disappointed if that's the case...
