What's your ideal job?

Just out of curiousity, if you could be doing any work for a living (be reasonable, please), what would you prefer to do?

Being reasonable...winning the Texas lottery...53 Million Dollars...and I'd think about a job later.
Really I'm doing what I like to do. Rice and truck farming, I may bitch alot about it, but...

The ideal job would be one where you and your family reap the rewards of hard work and not someone else.

Can I get an amen to, "Take this job and shove it?"

I already do what I love to do: build web sites.
But ideally, I'd do it for my own profit, not somebody else's. But I'm working on that. I just incorporated my own company: Impax Multimedia.

Mine would be sit on my ( V ), eat pizza, drink soda, work on the computer. But I want to start my own computer Biz.

Many things go in with this.
1)Website Design
2)PC Repair
3)Networking
4)Graphic Design
5)Teaching people how to use the computer
6)And anything else I can dig myself into with the computer. Like I stated in another thread. I have a chip installed.

Fuzzy - Your going to be waiting for another 50years for that type.

SnowZone - I want to do that, but mine will deal with other stuff. I know basic C++, but I need to get back into that. So I can work on my project I started like 4years ago that I never finished. I have to learn AP String or something like that. Which lang do you write in? And I'm talking computer lang, not your native lang. But Computer lang could be native to some.

I'd like to be a professional Assassin...

Some of them I would do 'non gratis'
just for the pleasure of shutting them up.

My ideal job would be to write PC strategy games as well as get to be involved in the creation of software that lets you do cool stuff on your computer.

Game program is very long by yourself.. I've opened the code. It would take you 10-20years by yourself to create a game. You would need a group of people helping you. One person each takes a part then you put it together like a puzzle and find the bugs. That would cut it down to 2-5years

Here's the game I'm lead developer on: https://www.galciv.com

That's cool. And it looks like you've been working on it for around 10year . Nice work!

Damn, didn't win the Texas lottery. Back to the farm.

I haven't played the lottery for a long time. I guess I can't win if I don't play

This is gonna sound retarded... but I've always wanted to be a session guitarist, not the guys that jump around stage, but the ones that sit in the studio and record music for commercials, movies, TV, etc. Perks of the music biz without the dizzying schedule.

But if I could be a Formula 1 driver/GameProgrammer/Web Developer/SessionGuitarist/Assasin/StarshipCook... Yah man, THAT's the life!

Field Photo/Video-grapher for National Geographic along with being a SAR team member working disaster areas with my Goldens for suvivors and recovery, the latter part will happen if I can keep ontop of the training fee's.

If not the above, Tiger Woods caddy, who else can tell the truth when they say they carry a bag with some clubs and little balls around on really nice country courses for 6 figures?
