Well, Bryce is used a lot, plus some Terragen and Vue d'Esprit for scenery. I'm exclusively Vue, and I know there's a lot of stuff to read on that online -- just do a google search for it. The other programs are beyond me though, you're on your own. Good luck!

Oh, thank you! I did another version w/o the rods, and it might be better, but I think I'll let that one run. Just got a couple of pics shot down by the moderators, so I'm retooling and starting a few new scenery compositions. I was amazed at how many ppl downloaded the Cubes one, but I tend to get lazy when I do abstracts, so I'll give that sort of thing a break [at least while I'm new enough at this to stay enthusiastic and have the patience for scenery...lol]. Anyway, have anything cool in the works?

P.S. wow, 2 comments eight seconds apart, more than an hour after the thread started

Yeah...Hawk-3...WACKY timing on the thread! Our initial comments on the thread were so close they almost rubbed each other out!

Glad you're enthused to do more work and don't get discouraged by a few rejections (nor give up on the project that was rejected...just keep on tweakin'... )...the mods are picky but that's good...keeps us on our lil' artistic tippy toes!

I have one wall in the works right now and some other unfinished stuff from a month back that I look at and still go 'blah' at but I just keep it all filed in separate folders and wait to look with fresh 'eyes' later. (BoXXi taught me that). I don't rush myself...I just have fun and play with colors and ideas.

Your stuff is doing great and you should be proud!

/me can't wait to see what you'll come up with next!

Heh, definately a motivation to iron out a picture after it gets rejected once. I agree with the criticism though, so at least I know what to fix. I have a couple sceneries in progress and an abstract that's just waiting for a chance to render, so with any luck some new stuff will be coming through soon.

Yeah, I do the same thing with my works-in-progress -- I have a bunch of folders with various renders of every scene, so I know what's not done, and can go back and look at it when I'm not sick of it.

Thanks for the encouragement!
