Mouse Pointer Disappears when Remoted-In over VPN

shows on desktop but not on other windows

When I remote connect to my PC over VPN, I notice that the mouse pointer disappears in all open windows (e.g.: Outlook, open folders, etc.) but shows on the desktop. Is this a bug...? Thanks.
