so when i d/l the windowblind skins, i can't use them. Does anyone know how to help me? I don't think i am downloading them to the correct place, so if you know please tell me. I am quite computer illiterate

Bear with me, this is the level of support everyone startes with (along the lines of, did you plug in the television before turning it on)

Got windowblinds installed?

Once it's up and running, opening a .wba file should automatically unpack the skin. Those will then show up on your desktop's properties dialog under "appearance" or "skins" depending on what version of windows you're running.

Yes i have it installed, I am using the ones it came with.

But they don't show up there

Right click on the file, choose 'save as...', and then choose a folder of your liking and someplace you can remember. After the dl completes, go to that folder. You should see a file ending with .wba

Double click on that file which will only install the skin. Then go to the display properties find the list of skins and choose the skin you just downloaded.

Did that make sense?
