XP Welcome Screen

Just wondering if the welcome screen is used by many.

Some skins have built in areas for the picture and looks kind of lonely/empty without the picture actually being there.

Which is better, making an area for a picture or not?

I like it to be an open area where the picture doesn't seem out of place -- but if you turn off the welcome screen and don't have a user picture, I hate seeing the 'frame' left behind. So don't intentially create a spot for it that'll stick out if it's not there. Blackcomb for example has a very definite frame. Seer on the other hand looks fine with or without it.

I'm just wondering why turning off the welcome screen also turns off the user pics. First time I noticed it missing, I was running around in circles thinking something had gone terribly wrong. Why couldn't it be a seperate option

I also noticed that when the picture is removed it moves the name over to the left. Puts the name in the picture area.

There should be a happy medium for skinning this area.
