How much "hard-core-power" is needed to run liteStep/windowBlinds etc. smoothly?

I got Duron 750, 512, Voodoo3... is that enuff to run these mega cool softwares smoothly without taking too much memory etc. from the other softwares in use?

Yes.
I've had LiteSTEP, for eg., running on a 486 with 8meg ram and a 1meg graphic card...

Windowblinds won't cause you any problems at all. At work I've had it running, alongside Objectbar, on a 533PII on board graphics 128Mb RAM with Outlook, Word and Excel all running too without a hitch. Go for it!

You'll be fine. I've ran it on much worse and its been great. You may want to get a new video card for normal windows support period however even if you dont use windowblinds since you can get a video card thats like 3 times faster now for just 50 bucks. Probably would make a world of difference in games.

Well,I'm running Litestep and Windowblinds on a K-6 266 with 64megs of ram on winXP; and it works. But that is really stretching it

I got a Celeron 300 at home with 384 Megs of ram and also a Voodoo 3 video card. Most of the time it's perfectly fine. Hardly any difference, but some skins are really heavy and do make the whole computer slow. Bottom line, it's not so much the programs themselves, but the skins you might use. Generally, the more animations and complex graphics, the heavier it will be.
