icons disappearing?

I have been creating new icons and have been applying them. Sometimes when I look at them, a few of them are gone, with a blank space where they were Any ideas? No I do not use drugs, and I am not currently drinking.

The Rated PG, what OS (operating system) do you use? Did this come on suddenly or was this immediate after the usage of Stardock components? Did you apply a corrupt object desktop icon packager file perhaps?

More details please.

BUMP...then people will know you're still trying to be heard.

xp and its only individual icons not packages. Its a sudden thing. and its only ones I recently created and I've only applied them to such things as shortcuts or favorites. I've had object desktop for a while now. no viruses either.

Right click on your desktop...hit "arrange icons by" and make sure there is a 'check' by "show desktop icons"

Hmmm. Did you accidentally add your address or links etc. to your quicklaunch bar?

This kind of stuff drives me nuts.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wait a minute.

RPG...are you creating your own saved files in icon packager? Have you tried going into icon packager and reverting some files to their defaults?

RPG, it sounds like your missing file icons are 'file specific' right? So which ones are missing?

no I save them as individual icons in a separate folder, but I did notice that since xp has its own change icon option, now there are two options to change icons in properties because of icon packager.

Well, are you 'able' to successfully 'REVERT' back to your default icons?

yeah and I am even able to put the missing icons back. They are still in my original folder where I save them, its the shortcut icon I replaced is all that keeps disappearing. The shortcut is still there just not my created icon. Its either blank or some old style icon replaces it( the original ugly standard windows icons not the nice xp versions)
