HOW DO I MAKE "GLOBE" ICONS???

I'm trying to make Globe Icons for Object dock (using AXIALIS ICON WORKSHOP) but I can't find a good way to make the icons a circle except start coloring slowly around them with transparent color... Any Ideas? thanks

Try making your circle's in a paint program and import them to Axialis.

What WOM said........ create your icons with a good graphics app, PSP PS, Pixia, etc..... Save them as PNG, with alpha transparency, then open them with IconWorkshop, and convert to ico. Presto!

There are other ways to get the images to IWS, read the 'Help' contents in IWS, to find out how.

...Adding a wee 'info tidbit' onto Koasati's comment:

IF YOU USE PSP (Paint shop Pro 7.0) Make SURE it's version 7.04 because 7.02 does NOT support the preserved transparency .png format unless you have the updated 7.04 version.

I did not know that.......... handy tidbit, Shmoopy.

/me learned that when she was trying to teach her friend how to make icons from transparent .png files on 7.04 when Shmoopy's friend only had 7.02...

Learning the hard way sticks in ones craw seriously and permanently.

Hmmm. chillychill4u, I dunno. There's the F.A.Q. but your idea would be a cute/clever name for a help page..."Object Desktop for dummies"
Speaking of that...

Is the 'for dummies' a bonafied trademark yet?
