Desktop X; IconX

I have the latest version of Desktop X (Alpha) with the IconX feature. I have Desktop X set to load at startup and it does fine. The problem is with the IconX feature. It does not automatically generate the animated Icon objects. I have to go to the property sheets each time and hit the Apply button before the objects are generated. I have tried to configure IconX every way possible to no avail. Is this just something that is not available in the early version? Or am I missing something.

How do i apply themes to my desktop? I have already downloaded Desktopx and windowblinds. I am new at this, I have no Idea to apply these themes, 4 spheres.
