How to disable........ auto open submenus....... ?

I had to do the reformat boogie, a couple of weeks ago......... before, I had the menu set up to NOT auto open submenus. I had to click the link to open the submenu. Now I can't seem to get this to work.
I've unchecked the setting in the Startmenu properties Advanced tab, but it has no affect, on any menu, including the Startmenu.
If there are other settings for this, I've completely forgotten where they are.

Anyone have a clue what I'm missing here?

Koasati, if you're using windows XP and go into the customize start menu and into the advanced settings and uncheck the "Open Submenus when I pause on them with my mouse" I think that should have done it...

If you're using win 98/ME/2000 I'm not sure...

Shmoopy, I have tried that, I guess I didn't explain that very well.
Yes using XP, but that setting has had no effect what-so-ever!

"Open Submenus when I pause on them with my mouse" this is the only option available to you. With this option selected ... press start then all available choices require you to click on then to open the sub menu. however other menus... shall we say sub menus of sub menus will open automatically. If you don't get this at the very least, then you may potentially have a corrupt file.

Got it! .............. Xteq's X-Setup has an option to delay the menu reaction speed.
Most likely how I did it before......... /me needs a new memory chip in head.
