I hate to be a curmudgeon...

...but I still have one same problem with the forum...and that is...

Every time I click on a thread and then on the thread's following or far-forwarding button I get a funky 'empty' page... I guess I shoulda mentioned this earlier but I fuggered it was only moi... Then again, maybe it is only moi...but it's the same thing on both my Laptop and Desktop and both are XP so I dunno.

/me hates to be a web blanket when everyone has been working so hard to make things right.

The only thing that needs fixin' is those forward/back buttons maybe... Weird thing is...they seem to work okay in IE...so it seems to be an Wincustomize Browser specific problem.

/me wonders how to break the bad news to Shmoopy

the WC browser uses IE

if it helps, i dont normally have a problem with the buttons.

the page number buttons have given me some problems though.

is this thread specific by any chance?

*sigh*

of course, the angle bracket illistrations got eaten

how about this.

for me, the <- and -&rt; buttons work fine.

normally, the <- and -> buttons work fine for me.

I do not seem to be having any problems with the forward/back buttons either. If you could point out a specific thread maybe that will help me find it. Also, which button, the First Page (<<), Last Page(>>), Previous(<-) or Next (->) or all of them?

Also when you see the problem, right click on the page and choose properties and copy the URl address and give it to me. (You can use highlight and use CTRL-C on the properties window to cut)

T-Man, using the SB to read the marathon thread, with the (default?) page settings, i am seeing 192 pages.

the back one page link works fine, but on page 192 the link to page 191 produces a "the page cannot be found" page.

by the looks of the link, the page number links in the SB are missing "sb_" on the "sb_msgboard.asp" part of the link.

When using the wincustomize browser and I am reading a thread that is more then one page. I click on a page number "2" and the browser returns "could not find page" however if I page forward using -> it works fine. only an issue if you need to page forward or reverse several times.

T-man...thanks for checking...and yes, for me it seems to be thread specific in the WC browser.

Okay... I clicked on the "So are the message boards faster?" thread and then clicked on 2: https://www.wincustomize.com/browser/msgboard.asp?id=91400&BID=&page=2 and got the page not found thingy.

The -> button does work to correct that...it's just a wee bit confoozilatin'
