Music Players in Desktop X

How do they work!? I tried right clicking on different themes where the player buttons are and i get errors...I even formatted my hard drive and reinstalled it all...How do i set the player controlls up? can anyone help please?

Do you have winamp installed on your machine? If not, the dxplayer that comes with DesktopX will work just fine. There are several player objects already made for you in the DX library. Just download one of them and go to it. You can right click on the various player buttons to see how they were made.

well I had winamp installed (v3 i think) but it didn't do any good...I mean when I would hit let's say the play button nothing would happen...I mean winamp worked fine but not the DX buttons...ya know? and when I would right click on one of them and select "configure" I got errors. what am I missing?

well the dxplayer.dll won't work with winamp 3.x, only works with 2.8x. But there is a DX player called sdplayer.exe. If you can find that (should be in a separate directory under stardock) and open that first, then all the controls should work fine. It has a playlist, an open file and an open directory command.
