i cant load themes in desktop x... Please help

whenever i try to load a theme, it says
this application has failed to start because MSVCR70.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem
i uninstalled, then reinstalled, but that didnt fix it, so then i tried to re download and re install, but its still not working, please help.

try doing a search on your computer for that file first and see if it is actually missing.

Ok, it turns out that DX doesn't need that file to load. One of the plugins inside the theme probably needs that file. You might want to try loading a blank theme and see if DX loads.

msvcr70.dll is a runtime library. Microsoft.NET uses it, as well as C+ proggies and Apache. Some games also use it, such as UT2003. My pc has 4 of them in different locations! You might like to try downloading it, or even install .NET from the Windows Update site.

loading the blank theme worked. thats the only one that has worked. i also did a search on my computer and found the dll file in object dock. so im still a little lost, and dont know what to do. tnx for the help sofar.
