if it is a newer theme, the plugin is DXplayer, which only controls winamp 2.8x, coolplayer and the stardock player. There is also a plugin called DXtoys which controls winamp and maybe coolplayer (I don't use coolplayer so I'm not sure). Which ever plugin is being used, you should have any problems if you have one of those media players installed.

You do have to configure the plugin and tell it what player it is using... but if you have a newer version of desktop x then it should be sdplayer by default... otherwise it is winamp 2. winamp 3 will not work with that plugin at all...

The DXPlayer plugin should be included with the theme you downloaded if you see the player controls. But you do need Winamp 2.

what them are you using???? it it diefferent for some... but it's pretty common with the old fausx-x box it stopped working with the newer versions of desktop x... I couldn't get it to work... try this one... download the blue toast desktop x mp3 player... I just typed in sd player in the search and it came up.. I downloaded it.. and it worked... when you double click on play the first time... all that will happen is an icon will appear in your task tray in the lower right hand corner of your screen... double click on it... and you will be able to configure a playlist to use....then close the playlist editor and you can just play and use the forward and backwards buttons... it's that easy...
