task bar...

...can't be masked

I can't mask the taskbar on Stardock's W7-style desktop. I can right click on it, and it is indeed unlocked, tried locking and unlocking again, to no avail. It can be moved to the sides or back to the bottom, but not hidden (though the double-arrow cursor to do this and to restore it DOES appear, but has no effect). On a laptop it always gets in the way of something on many programs. Many thanks for any suggestions. -Graham
