Just too easy!

Looking at some of the threads where people need help applying Logons, skins, even wallpaper, I am wondering if those people have tried the WinCustomize Skinbrowser?

Even if you are not a WinCcustomize subscriber, you can download the free version of skinbrowser from https://www.stardock.com/products/wincustomize/download.html

Once you have skinbrowser installed, all you need do is find what you like and click "Apply."

There are only two possible reasons for NOT using skinbrowser: You didn't know about it or...using skinbrowser would be TOO easy!

The only flames that I want to see on Christmas day are in a roaring fireplace, but I thought that I was directing this post to "people (who) need help applying Logons, skins, even wallpaper."

For the newbie, I still maintain that the 'Browser is a great tool. No more "download, extract, search for file, what format is it?" stuff. Just click and go!

Happy holidays Randy, Elaine and Paul. The best of the season to you!

My comment was not meant as a flame. I agree that it would be an excellent tool for a "newbie" that is having trouble figuring out how to use all this stuff. But for someone like me that has been hanging around here forever, it just gets in the way. (I just couldn't get used to it.) I bought it to help the site, nothing more.

Happy Holidays to you, too.

I think WB is a handy tool. I use it for all the downloads, however applying wallpapers have to be done the old way since I use 1280x1024, and many just upload a 1024x768 BMP and all the others go as jpg.

Merry Xmas Elaine. I like my skinbrowser. Use it all the time, but not for applying downloads. I still do that the old fashion way.

Sorry Larry, didn't mean that as a flame at all.... ............just being a wisecracker as per usual.....
You're right I suppose, but then again, I would rather see the newbies learn to do things for themselves.

Happy Holidaze back at ya!

Uh, actually speaking of being a wisecracker...
No one flamed anyone, it was just that I have been looking for a chance to use that "only flames that I want to see on Christmas day are in a roaring fireplace" quip since last year.

Oh well, I guess that I can try using it Christmas 2k3.

Peace on earth, good will to everyone.
