What is a sit file

I have downloaded some wallpaper for skins, and the file format is *.sit, what is a sit file? What do I use to open a sit file, and save as wallpaper?

It's an Aladdin Stuffit file, Just another form of compression. You can download Stuffit Expander from Aladdin (it's free).

Stuffit expander will open .zip files, but I'm not sure if Winzip opens .sit files.

.sit is a MAC format just as .zip is for PCs.
You'll need Stuffit Expander in order to unpack'em
