upload trouble

I'm having some problems when i try to upload one file, it takes a lot of time loading the page and when its done it gives some sort of error... I just can't figure out what am i doing wrong...

What kind of file (jpg, bmp etc)? For what program? From what OS (XP, ME ETC)? What filetype(.zip)? These are things you need to be "question specific about" to get more thorough answers from the guru/gods that be (aka Jafo).

sorry if i didn't gave specific info on my problem...
I'm trying to upload a wallpaper, in a zip file, but every time i do it, it gives the same error, "500 Server internal error" or something...
