Programs won't open after applying a skin

Hello, 

I installed the Mac OS X theme and love it, but I noticed that I could no longer open any programs. Notepad for instance would say it stopped responding and close. Other programs simply would not open at all. When I would try to open a program the screen would turn blue (not a BSOD) for a second and return to the desktop. The only thing that would open was the WindowBlinds program itself and Google Chrome. I had to use a system restore point to get Windows back to normal. 

I am wondering if maybe there's a conflict with any of these programs I have installed: Avast, or Malwarebytes version 2.0.2.1012? 

It should be noted too that I also downloaded Object Dock, and when I went to install it, that program crashed. I THINK that may be when all the other issues started happening, but can't be certain.
