[Solved] Win 8.1 Strange Font Problem window blinds 8.05

Hey all, 

 

I have a weird Problem with any window blinds skin, those that come with it included.

See for yourself:

 

 

As you can see the standard System font is not how it should be and this font is being used for all skins except the default windows theme.

This includes the right click menu.

I tried changing it in the configuration but no joy.

Any thoughts?

 

Update:

I noticed theres an update for window blinds.

that didnt fix it though

hmm 100 views and not even a guess as to what may be the cause?

i tried a fresh window blinds reinstallation but nothing i try fixes this.

 

this is really starting to bug me...

as you can see it makes certain functions very difficult to use.

I would try setting the default Windows theme in Control Panel->Personalization first, then after reinstalling WindowBlinds, change it to another skin(Diamond for example) and uncheck where it says Do not apply any skin system wide fonts.

thank you for your reply.

that was indeed one of the first things i tried. i even tried to change all possible fonts to see which one it is that is changing it all.

 unfortunately nothing seems to change it at all...

the only thing that seems to have any effect at all is font size..

 

EDIT>

somehow i managed to fix it finally...

by first setting the font to be overridden by skin and then changed it back to allow the skin to decide... now it works..

will see if it stays after a restart.

 

... ok now i feel stupid.

i was sure i had tried all this before but somehow now it works.
