Freezing

Hopefully I have the right place to post some feedback.

I wonder if my getting a frozen screen may be related to the error message on start up related to having an "old" graphics driver? I have an Intel HD with a driver update of Dec 2012. The screen freezes typically when attempting to move to a different view of the galaxy. Sometimes if I wait long enough it resolves itself and gameplay continues and sometimes the only solution is ctrl-alt-delete and restart. Not a good solution in my opinion.

There is no driver update available that is more recent so I guess I can find a different graphics card and install that because I have been a huge fan of the other versions of GC as well as MOO.

As to other feedback which may be related to the above, is it possible to save a game with other than ctrl S?

In the designer component - is it possible to tilt and turn the ship design to place items on the underside or in other areas?

Before you get a new card try going into the GC options and reduce use of the graphic card as much as posible.

Many with the integrated Intel GPU have had troubles with the drivers as old as yours, and when they found out that there really is a newer driver and upgraded to it, they found it fixed their problems.

NOTE: The Intel integrated GPU drivers often refuse to let you upgrade to a newer driver, but there is a "user beware" procedure that seems to work given on the Intel web site.
