It's a the feature of Desktop X that allows you to use normal icons and animate them.

is anyone else having trouble with alpha blending... all of the objects are fine... but when I turn icon x on... all of my existing object that are alpha blended get a black box around them.... has anyone else had this problem??? checked all of the setting tried disabling win200/xp trasperency... nothing... I did get the box to go away when I went to the objects and turned off per pixel alpha blending... and then I turned it back on... it was gone... but as soon as I restarted desktop x... it came back

Yes, da_zman, same here.
The icons with IconX are fine, but the object on some themes indeed have a black box arond them. Not all though. Haven't looked into it in detail yet, it's maybe a certain transparency support problem with this alpha version (alpha channel BMP'S? Transparent PNG's?).

It's now fixed in internal build. You should wait a bit for Alpha 2.
