How to skin to get rid of hotbar

Anyone have any idea how to skin IE so i DON'T need that stupd hotbar????

what hotbar? Are you talking about using WebBlinds or are you talking about windowblinds skinning IE? I've never seen a 'hotbar' with either application running. Perhaps there's something else lurking around on your system?

you can't run hotbar with web blinds... it disables it... i've tried... he he he... get object desktop... or you can try freeware like neoplanet... that is a skinnable web broser that puts it's self ontop of your ie, im sure there are plenty of ways.... but webblinds is my favorite part of object desktop... www.stardock.com

The only "hotbar" I know is a program people download and add to their browser. http://www.hotbar.com/ I think it was rumored to perhaps contain something which tracks internet use (aka "spyware") but I don't really know. If that's what you're talking about, the way to get rid of it is to uninstall it.

WebBlinds skins IE, by the way. Windowblinds also skins IE, but doesn't change the toolbar icons like WebBlinds does. So some people use both.

Hotbar is spyware. I used it for a long time when I had 98 & ME. There is another program by Microsoft that does the same thing I have never used it or know the name of it. You would have to do a search.

Oh yeah, MS has a web accessories page where it has different freebies, including a toolbar wallpaper app: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/previous/webaccess/default.asp

Although it says this stuff is only for IE 5.x, some people say some of this stuff still works in IE 6.
