Web cams anyone?

This morning the Honolulu marathon started at 5am. I know because they set off a big firework display that woke me up. I thought we were getting attacked. here(http://citycams.co.honolulu.hi.us/) is the Waikiki cam. the top right one you can see the marathon (I imagine there are winners by now).

Then I started wondering if folks had cams of their neighborhoods?

I didn't saw any marathon Diane, because the pictures are changing every 30 minutes, but I saw very beautiful pictures from your coundry

Here's one for Cali...
I never get to this particular beach much but it's close enough http://actionsportsnetwork.com/surfcams/huntington/huntingtonasp.asp

My apartment building is barely visible in the distant upper right hand corner of the top row middle cam! The marathon is over now.

That looks like a fun beach, Doreen! Nice looking sunset, too.

Doreen, that's MY beach! I grew up in Huntington Beach. I love it here. They used to have another web cam view from the news stand on Main st., but it's been closed for a while now.

Well, unfortunatly I face the mountains and have a low apartment, so I see mostly buildings. But if I sit a certain way I can see Manoa Valley and lots of rainbows. It is only a couple of blocks to a beach and several parks.

Hi all. Yep, I'm a newbie. Just browsing the message board and took a look at the cams. Gorgeous neighborhoods! ! Wish I could link my snowy home! You should check out the mountains of West Virginia sometime when you get too hot! It'll cool you off! I love to travel, but always come back to these hills. Have a good evening all.

tinker...there's quite a few bush fires between us at the moment...I doubt we could see through the smoke...

I used to work at this computer store. Good ole Front Royal, VA. Lots of beef jerky and chewing tobbacco sold in this tiny town.

One of my more miserable decisions.

Nothing much to see here at the moment - probably just as well, Sheffield isn't quite as pretty as Honolulu

This is outside the University about 2 miles from here.

Aha! The sun has finally come up! That looks like a nice neighborhood... I love big ol' brick buildings like that!

As I'm on the border of the Peak District National Park you might like to see what that is like: http://www.shef.ac.uk/~nuocpe/bccil/webcam/webcam.html

This is Buxton in the south part called White Peak (limestone rock), I'm next to the north part called Dark Peak (millstone grit) - no cams there though.

Remember though, 9:00 to 15:30 GMT only, cos yer wont see nuffin' if it's dark

This is a description of the area where I was born: http://www.zaaninfo.com/eng/index.htm
It's not a webcam, but it gives you an idea about my surroundings.

This is giving me more empathy! For one thing... only 6 hours of sunlight? /me writes that down on an already long list about reasons to stay in Hawaii (but then again I am sure I would fall in love with all those places... just look at their ambassadors!). Um... it is really cold here, I am digging out blankets and heating up my bed with hot water bottles.... the temp? 75F 24C.

Lecrayon... Below sealevel? I would like to go there one day.
