Parallels Desktop 9: ModernMix and Start8 license problem

Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac's "Windows 7 Look" mode comes with ModernMix and Start8 when running a Win8/8.1 VM. This has been working great for months, including after applying updates. However, when I applied the most-recent updates (MM 1.20 and S8 1.45), now I'm getting pop-up nags from each that "License was not found. Enter product key".

Has something changed that the Parallels built-in license doesn't work anymore for Stardock products? Or is there some way I can reset the license? I've tried disabling "Windows 7 Look", uninstalling Stardock products, re-enabling "Windows 7 Look", but the reinstalled Stardock products continue to nag re. license not found.

Help? Thanks

Not an isolated incident.  I too am experiencing this with the latest updates.  Both Start8 and ModernMix are displaying licensing issues after update.  I have the latest version of Parallels 9

I am experiencing the same issue and it started just days ago since the latest update.

Stardock support has posted corrected updaters. Download and install them again, fixes the problem.

I continue to have the same problem.  I have upgraded to Parallels 10, and I keep getting the error message.  It is short-lived and the programs seem to work. When I look to updating Start8 and Modern Mix, I see I have the latest versions, 1.45 and 1.2 respectively.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Uninstall Start8 and ModernMix from Control Panel \ Programs and Features.

Reboot the computer and enable the Win 7 look after:

If you get an update notice, follow it's instructions.

Let me know if that does not work for you.
