X-mas wish list

I’ll be the first to admit I’m a shmuck for the rather innocent belief in the “human spirit” that I utilize and I will always believe there are more “good guys/gals” than bad…which makes me happy to know that there will always be someone out there willing to fight the good fight and ya know what I want for Christmas?

This is my list…

I want every child to have food and medicine and love, real genuine love.
I want every lonely person to know they are not alone.
I want peace instead of war but I can also comprehend/understand the “good fight” I just hate to have to get in the fray and come out with a black eye.
I want to see the “little guy” make it big
I want to see a woman as a US president
I want to abolish the “need” for abortion by educating young women.
I want evil abolished and good to conquer all…

I want to grow old and feeble and when someone asks me about this thread I’ll say, “HUH? Just change my frickin’ diaper!”

Nice wish list.

Except personnally I don't anybody is Good or Evil. Everybody is good AND evil. The difference is that some people don't hold the same things as Good or Evil. Also, some people sometimes try to reason with their "evil" self, thinking they are working towards a general "Good".
People go at war, doing evil things, thinking they are doing it for the good of goodness, while really, there are never any good reason to do evil...

Nikos (adni18), besides being a very talented person, you are also a wonderful, kindhearted soul who nary says a bad thing against anyone even when they say something negative against you. Your manners and overall demeanor are admirable.

From someone who knows "genuine" kindness from malarkey, I'd just like to thank you and wish you happy holidays and a wonderful new year and thank you for touching my heart with your decency and all-around goodness.

Aside from my own wife, (sorry Nikos, but she does come first

), Adni is the kindest soul I know. You are correct in your opinion darkserphim. Despite the constant bashings, poundings and beatings he receives at the hands of the darker-sided denizens of WC, he still rises above it all, maintains his cool and has only good things to say about others.

Nikos is one of the nicest folks I've seen on WC so far, he takes time to make nice comments on a LOT of works and manages to make so many of his own works too! Amen, for kind folks like Nikos! There's a lot of love for you out "there" and in "here"

Very nice and touching list, however I have something to add to it. I wish that all descrimination would vanish from the earth, that includes descrimination in school against different groups such as the "preps", the "geeks", and the "dirties" just to name a few.

Its kind of cool at my school however, there arnt many groups that are descriminated against because our school is so diverse and we have such an even number in lots of groups.

Wow...great addition GreatSilverWyrm! I wholeheartedly agree...I grew up as one of the "poor kids" in school without all the latest clothes and therefore it made it much harder to be a "somebody" in a world according Calvin Klein.

But that was "then" and I hope things are a bit better now...I hope.

Oh and also this may fall into another category, but I think it needs special attention.

Wow, GreatSilverWyrm...it's so nice to know a youth such as yourself can be so positive and uplifting!

I think that's a WONDERFUL and well-spoken sentiment.

To be able to know people from all over the world is a true gift/blessing and one that shouldn't be taken for granted...you are right and very intelligent to say such a thing...many people don't have the “luxury” of free access to a computer to connect with the outside world...and it's a shame...but it's a good and thoughtful wish and the power of hope and prayer is good!
