XP gives you the option to make boot disks....takes 4 of them.
If you are on NTFS then the drive will be inaccessible in Dos...although there is a proggy that reads NTFS in Dos....do a search at shellcity..

why can't you use the xp cd... I know I can boot with mine... and if you go to the recovery console... that is really the ms-dos prompt...
