Works fine here with XP Homey (and W98SE). Based on some other comments here and elsewhere, you might check your PC for a spyware program called Common Name? That appears to interfere with WB and create a problem with those window controls. Can't hurt to check that out. Download SpyBot Search & Destroy (it's free and you can find it via Google) and run it. I'd be careful with deleting any system stuff with that app, but see if any spyware is found. If you do have Common Name (a recent version) apparently the only safe way to delete is via an app like SpyBot.

If you don't have Common Name, then it's something else. But at least SpyBot will check to see if you're running any spyware.

I'd suggest visitng the Stardock support group: news://news.stardock.com/stardock.windowblinds

Or email tech support.

My guess is that you have one of those Logitech mice that has the "touch feel" effects. But I coudl be wrong.

Gateway has a program they have been putting on their PCs forever, called GO BACK.

The new windows XP has taken that technology and incorporated it into the new windows with a new name, RESTORE.

BOth are good on paper but when turned on they slow the PC and do all sorts of mean nasty things. Not to mention the enormous disk space they require.
Imagine a program that records EVERY action taken by the computer. That is GO BACK and RESTORE.

Disable that if you have ANY trouble with WinXP.

I'm quite happy to have Restore on my XP Pro box.....I actually made use of it once...and quite successfully, too.
It doesn't record 'everything' just makes sure some settings and dlls, etc are reversible.
Unlike the ME version, this one works...

gabitzu, it sounds to me like you probably have Kazaa, right?
Well, unfortunately for you, Kazaa installs a spyware program called "Common Names". Common Names interferes witht he Windows title bar in such a way that it makes Windowblinds impossible to use.
Now, your problem is that Kazaa installs all sorts of crap files in your system and a multitude of entries in your registry. It is almost impossible to get rid of it all without a reformat of a system restore.
Just uninstalling Common Names though, will probably take care of the Windowblinds problem, but you will still have garbage left that will continue to make your system unstable.
Use system restore to bring back your system the way it way before you installed Kazaa, then download Kazaa LITE instead. Kazaa Lite doesn't have any spyware included.
