2K Style Icons in XP?

Is there anyway to remove the backdrop from desktop icons?

I.E: My desktop COLOR is set to white, but my wallpaper is multicolored blue, so I can't match the blue, and you can always see the backdrop on the icons..

Is there anyway to make this transparent, like XP?

what about windowblinds... if he's running windowblinds I thought you had that option in 2k, but im not sure... it's been over a year since I've had windowblinds running on something other than xp, and Im sure you can do it with window fx.... Link

If Coke_ means the background of the text, yes, Windowblinds can make the text background transparent on Win2k.

If he means the alpha blending of the icon, no, Win2k desn't support 32bit alpha blending.
