can only get half the skin

i was wondering why i can only get some of the basic parts of a windows blinds skin. i'm running windows xp home edition and only some parts of the skin show up when i load them, just basic colours and some of the buttons like start, minimize, maximize, close etc. anyone know how to fix this?

Are you running a registered version of Windowblinds or the shareware version? I know the shareware version doesn't skin everything, but I don't know if that's what you're describing or if something else is going on.

That's weird. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling windowblinds? You might also want to post in the Stardock WB support newsgroup. (There's a link on the Stardock site.) They also have a WB binary ng so you can post screenshots.

I don't know that I would want a skin that looks like carp. They're a pretty ugly fish.
