Sounds like you are using Windowblinds and possibly have CommonNames installed. Check in add/remove for it as it may have been installed without your knowledge by another app you installed. If it is and you didn't install it intentionally just remove it and all should be fine. If you don't have CommonNames installed then it may be another app that hooks windows messages such as a mouse utility if you have a logitech mouse.
