Helder [Nuvem] doesn't visit the board often, so people scarcely notice his work, but when they do, the response is unanimous, hence the ratings.
MobiusCo is one of those rare creatures who CAN handle Bryce well.
Adni is always a popular favourite.
Dangeruss is unmatched with 3D modelling.

what I was saying was, that 3 or 4 rates per work seems the average. It would be nice if we could get higher averages. Almost half of the walls (that ended up with a 10) got less then 4 rates...

Lecrayon, I look at every wall and comment on at least 1/2 of them and rate the same. Some of them that I haven't commented on Have to grow on me before I decide to say something or rate it. That way I will be fair and not go with my first impulse. Understand?

Lecrayon, here's an example: I have my favorite wallpaper artist. I rate 90% and comment on 90%. The other 10% just didn't move me enough to rate or comment on them. If I had, I would have rated low or commented negatively, so I did neither.

hmmmmm, I still do not like the rateing system but I o rate most of the time. I have been slow lately because i do not have my laptop anymore.

Sure, no worries WOM, what I meant was, giving the example of the little research of the walls rated 10, that an average of 3,5 isn't very much. That's all. I tried to give people some incentive to rate.

The one thing in all of this that I agree with the most is that so many of the people who download the walls that they like either don't comment on them and/or don't rate them. With so few actual ratings on each piece it means nothing statistically. More ratings would give a more accurate representation of how much the people downloading the walls actually like them. Just my two cents and they just got spent...

Now you got the idea Jam. It was not so much asking to rate my work as it was asking to rate everyone's work. Like Joe, I don't like the rating system, but as it is here to stay I thought I'd give it a go and try to get more people involved in rating in order to get a better balanced rating. I guess I am too optimistic

Jam, not talking about true ratings. We have some people that like to go aroung and give out 1's to a lot of people. Also if some one doesn't like the color you get a 1. Thats what I'am talking about.

I hear you loud and clear, WOM, and I am WELL aware of this because someone keeps doing it to me.
That's why I think that a larger number of ratings would soften the blow from the malicious ones.
The greater the number of actual ratings, the less effect each one has on the final tally.
