I have notice that the Windows XP Start Menu fades in when you click on it. Is there a way to do that on Windows Me?

When I had Windows ME, I made the start bar fade when I clicked on it. Of course, I clicked on it with a hammer, so I'm not sure this is what you're after.

The only program that I know of that could help you is WindowFX, which you can find on the stardock website. But I'm not sure if it works on Windows 98\ME.

(start bar = start menu, I got a bit confused for a minute then)

I think ObjectBar can make the start menu fade when it's clicked on, but I haven't used it in a while, so I can't be sure about it.

Objectbar can indeed accomplish this. You can even get the full XP start menu appearence.
