??? help with winamp controls in some skins

I think I understand that I need a winamp plugin so that I can use the controls on some of the skins (I have winamp 3). I was looking over there and downloaded something, but I guess it was mostly for the visualizations.

Or am I doing something else wrong, because I can't use those controls lately.

I did pick up a lot of pretty stuff over there, though.

Try talking directly to a person with expertice , you can contact with some skinmakers over here in the page by clicking on their names at the sides of his work, they surely know the basics to help you with your needs. Sorry I dont know about your issue but maybe what i wrote here could help you, good luck

Thank you. I guess I will do that. I just didn't want to hijack the comment section, and it felt kind of strange bugging someone through their email.

The Winamp plugin comes with WB when you install it. I don't think it's been updated to run with WA3 though.

There is a program which was written specifically to allow plugins written for wa2 to work with wa3...The link to it was published *somewhere* on this site, probably the newsgroups. I looked for it, but couldn't find it. It's out there somewhere.

Thanks WW! I'll go poking around here for it. I hadn't been using winamp, but then I discovered the visualizations and I was hooked!

Some people say it crashed Winamp 3 so badly they had to reinstall it. I have not had any such issues with it and it did work for me but as always YMMV. Don't say I didn't warn ya!

I should say I don't use Winamp 3 much preferring Winamp 2 which has crashed less for me so not sure how stable the plugin is.
