I think most use photoshop to make the images for CursorXp.

My preference is Microangelo and Jasc Paintshop in conjuntion.
I CC/P back and forth until the cursor is ready and then I save it as .ani or .cur and let CursorXP change it to .png.

Hey mike.

I have made some cursors. I will give you sime tips.

I make all my cursor images in photoshop, and then save ehm as a .PNG file.
On the cursor xp site is an program called antilla or somethin' like it.
Make 5 or 6 images and use that antilla prog. to get ehm together and its animated.
Cursor xp has its own function to get the images into it, and you can save them as a cursor xp theme.
Hope i helped you enough for here.

Yeah, well, the above is only for Cursor XP cursors. To make standard Windows cursors, you need a cursor editor such as Microangelo.

Ah, good point, paxx.

Microangelo is limited in what it can do so it is better to make the 32 x 32 image in a better program and then paste it into Microangelo for the save.

Yeah?

Yes, indeed. I save my image as a transparent PNG then import them in Microangelo.
