Sadly, no!   My family has had a great affinity with The Angels over the years, with my brother, sister, nephews and niece going to just about every concert and live show they could... if it was within driving distance they'd go.

They became quite friendly with the band and often got special treatment/priveleges for the support they'd shown them over the years, so yeah, when the news broke a few tears were shed for the great man and his family

I only got to meet the band and Doc once myself - wasn't always able to go the gigs  - but they were a great live band and I'm glad for the experience.

RIP Doc Neeson.

EDIT:

Just thinking about it, Doc is the second Aussie rock star I have met who has died in recent times.  I also met Billy Thorpe [and The Aztecs] back in the 70's when he and his band were the guest band at Brisbane's Festival Hall during The Battle of the Bands. I met him again a few years later at a pub gig [he'd remembered me from Battle of the Bands] and we had a beer together between sets. I found him to be a true gentleman, very nice natured and a rock star who wasn't too big for his fans.
