My Favorite Genie Is Gone...

Barbara Eden has passed away

She was born Barbara Jean Huffman on August 23, 1934, Barbara Eden had her film debut in 1956's Back from Eternity. This was followed by a series of unremarkable films throughout the 1950s and 60s. In 1965, she hit it big playing the genie in the bottle on the TV sitcom I Dream of Jeannie opposite Larry Hagman. The popular show ran for five years.

In 1957, she starred on TV in How to Marry a Millionaire, based on the movie by the same name. She was also featured in popular shows including I Love LucyPerry Mason,GunsmokeRoute 66, and a pilot called The Barbara Eden Show, which never aired,

Anyway, gorgeous, sweet, dream girl Barbara Eden is gone...RIP, Jeannie...

Greg II... I heard it myself from the anchor on CNN.

Besides, the article you quote says this: "In 2013, four decades after the show aired, a 78-year-old Eden slipped back into the outfit and channeled her most famous character for the Life Ball 2013 in Vienna, Austria."

What a terrible loss. I met her and Don Knotts at a show they were doing together many years ago, and she was just as beautiful as ever. R.I.P. Barbara. :'(

Ummm......I googled Barbara Eden and there's seems to be a discrepancy. Her last name is given as Morehead not Huffman http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001174/bio

There is no mention of her passing.
