objectdock features recommendation...

hey in objectdock, it is cool when u minimize a window, it takes a screenshot of it!

but
-the screenshot doesnt refresh when the window actually changes

also. i would like to suggest:
icons can be added on the basis of window 'class' and 'exe name'
how about adding icons on the basis of caption? like :My computer...Control Pannel.

-the control panel, search, help shortcuts dont work!

- Always on top or not should be configurable.

Did I say 'Great so far !' ?

oh that would be cool
autohide, refreshing window image,

also, when u right click an icon of say: the running IE, i think more than the object properties, the CONTEXT or SYSTEM menu should come the OS X way!

how about the system tray? it's, like, gone if you hide the taskbar so i would suggest adding the ability to add a system tray area to the dock.

there is NO WAY FOR FINDING OUT WHICH IS THE ACTIVE WINDOW

maybe a sort of GLOW effect?

Jark,
You can use the Iconpackager Explorer to yank the Icons out. I just tried it and it works.

are there are apps out there that are merely system trays? i guess an extremely minimal hoverdesk theme or objectbar theme could suffice for this task.

/me goes looking for some goodies ...

That is what I was thinking. Just have a start button in one corner and systray in the other.

DX would do that very well.
Maybe someone could submit a DX object that is just a system tray.

well, you would still have to have a graphic for the background wouldn't you? That would be very theme dependant. It really isn't hard at all to do a systray I'm sure jark could do it with his eyes closed

hey FROGBOY
how about adding a feature which will show which is the active window etc

the system menu when rightclicking ...

Old Crab loves it! However why not combine both Bar and Dock. No. That would be bumd. Auto hide and the ability to chose one's icons would be exceptional settings. Great proggie already, with alot of room to grow. Crabs love anything that jumps, bumps, and wiggles -Oh my!

One question : Is there any difference in performance when using only png's instead of icons ?

now if there was only a way to change the color of the background that the icons sit on then i would be happier!
