Elemental: Fallen Enchantress Registration (Network error)
I purchased Elemental: Fallen Enchantress as a one-time purchase through Steam. I created and validated my Stardock account in order to register the game, however when I attempt to register it I get the error message:
"The activation program could not communicate with the server.
This may be caused by a firewall blocking Internet access, please check your settings and network permissions."
I disabled ZoneAlarm, AVG antivirus, and Windows SmartScreen. I also bypassed my router and plugged directly into my cable modem.
This was all to no avail. Then I signed in to this site and went to Account Management (https://www.stardock.com/accounts/register)
I could not find my game in the drop-down list of products to register.
I am not a network whiz, nor a Windows expert, so I'm really not sure what else could be blocking the connection. I am running Windows 8 and for security I have the 3 things I already mentioned, router (that I bypassed) and ZoneAlarm and AVG. I haven't installed any other network security software.
Also, I tried activating on multiple computers using the .txt file, and here is the message I got:
Incorrect email or password. Please ensure that you are activating with the current account credentials associated with this product.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
