WIndows 8.1 desktop shows box around icons when mouse hovers over it.....

I can live with it.
I use Start8 to bypass metro screen
I also have settings under Advanced to not display boxes around icons, yet I still get a box around a desktop icon when my mouse hovers over it. Tried all I know under Advanced and all options off and on and Adjust for best performance, custom, etc...

Tried all I know how.

This will not be anything controlled by Start8.

As far as I know that's perfectly normal behaviour for Windows 8.  The box option related to a solid background on the icon text, not the icons themselves on mouseover.
