Windows 8.1 taskbar and icons viewable but not accessible

Stardock Objectdock, Launch 8, Decor 8, Deskscapes 8, Fences 2, ModernMix, IconDeveloper, CursorFx

Dear Stardock Support.

I've just recently purchased the above products and have installed them on Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit OS with all uptodate patches, Office 360, Norton 360 Premier Edition Adobe CS5 and a few other multimedia editing programs.

The PC is equipped with i7-970 3.2GHz and 12Gb Memory and has operated trouble free for 3 years with Windows 8 as an upgrade to Windows 7.

The ObjectDock is positioned to the left of the monitor with a specific set of icons and the Win 8.1 taskbar appears as normal at the bottom with another set of different icons. The monitor res is 1920 x 1080.

It takes up to 3 minutes to load OS on login and be ready to use when just before Stardock apps were installed it would take 1 minute. OK I accept that's part of the deal for the functionality being provided.

During this loading period the win 8.1 taskbar is accessible and usable as normal.

However at the 3rd minute it then becomes unusable. The Objectdock always works well and does not seem to be configured in a way that blocks the Windows 8 taskbar.

I have tried the usual startup troubleshooting by disabling all the normal apps running except for ObjectDock and then it works fine but loading Fences with ObjectDock knocks out the Win 8.1 taskbar.

I cannot find any configuration in Fences that affects the Win 8.1 taskbar.

Unloading Objectdock alone after both apps are running for more than the initial time it takes to load does not fix the issue so maybe Fences may be the issue.

Are Objectdock and Fences guaranteed to work happily together?

All assistance will be appreciated.

Cheers

 <UPDATE @ Jan 31 2014 14:43>

1. disabled Objectdock from startup.

2. rebooted and checked fences works Ok.

3. win8.1 taskbar works Ok

4. loaded Objectdock manually

5. used PC for 5 hours now and the 2 Stardock apps in question  working as they should.

I'm happy enough if this solves the problem

Go figure .. Gremlins

Folks.

The Windows 8.1 taskbar locked up AGAIN today after a few hours of work just in Office Word and IE/WaterFox/Chrome browsers.

At the beginning of the work session it was operating fine and the next time I need a link launched from it I noticed it was not accessible.

As stated in my opening post, the Start button and ALL shortcut links are no longer clickable.

Any Stardock support staff online today?

I am interested in retaining the software I PURCHASED, identifying the issue and resolving it.

Any suggestions?

<UPDATE>

I just tried to use shortcuts within the bounded areas of Fences icon groups, and found they too are clickable in so much as you can select each icon, but it will not launch the application ....  any application..  any group.

In fact I cannot even right click onto the desktop now..

Regular and frequent rebooting of the system is not an acceptable workaround.

My next step is to remove all the StarDock software EXCEPT Fences.

Ok now having eliminated Deskscapes seems to have solved the previously stated Fences behaviour.

Hope this helps ppl who purchased both products...
