Windowed Windows 8.1 Mail app opens to blank white screen

The subject pretty much covers it.  I have the Windows Mail app set to a shortcut on my desktop in ModernMix v1.12.  *Most* of the time when I double-click the Mail app to open it, nothing is displayed once it opens.  Sometimes rebooting works, sometimes not.  And sometimes it opens fine, but that's not the norm.  Any fixes or tips available to resolve this issue?

Hello,

Do you have it set to windowed or full screen? Can you change any app settings under the ModernMix configuration? Find the Mail app, left click it, then click "delete this apps settings" at the bottom of the window. Let me know if any of this helps.

I am having exactly the same problem with Store app. It opens to a white window. I have tried the above suggestion but same thing.

 

One thing to note is that the PC has been updated with the new Windows update KB2919355. If possible I would like to keep using ModernMix but unless these issues are resolved, I am afaid I would have to remve it for now as I fear that there are other apps that may exhibit the same issues.

binesh3: We have a beta update for ModernMix called 1.14 so you should be able to download and install that from the my downloads section of the stardock store.

Hi Neil,

I downloaded and installed the update but nothing changed. One thing that has changed is that previously the Store app would open and then suddenly close, now it just stays open and I can minimise it.

I may just have to remove ModernMix completely, reboot and then reinstall it and see if that fixes anything.

Done the above and still no good. I think that the only way round this issue for now is to roll back to an earlier restore point and then see what happens.:(  

However there are other people who are having the same issue without ModernMix so it may have nothing to do with ModernMix and something else entirely.
